Winchester Angel: Rising Phoenix sets fire to MX Burlesque Adelaide

At Rising Phoenix Academy of Performing Arts, we're thrilled to share the success of Winchester Angel, affectionately known as 'Chezza.' In her debut at the MX Burlesque SA 2023 competition, she claimed the title of 2nd Runner Up in her first ever competition, leaving audiences in awe. 💃 

Collaborative Brilliance: Fire, Burlesque & Phoenix 

The dynamic collaboration between Kraken Fire, Ben, and our vibrant community fuelled Chezza's insane performances. A captivating gown parade where she donned some impressive wings (not phoenix wings though!), a tantalising tease routine portraying a sultry vampire queen, and a unique and fiery portrayal of her personal journey, showcased the power of unity in the arts.

From Conformity to Freedom: Chezza's Unique Narrative

Chezza's performances struck a chord by portraying her evolution from societal conformity to self-liberation.Starting in a beautiful pink dress, Winchester slowly starts to peel off the layers of conformity - ultimately resulting in her ending with something that was truly a memorable sight for all in attendance. Her routine was not just captivating; it was a testament to the transformative and liberating essence of burlesque.

Lesson in Authenticity: Be True to Yourself

Beyond the stage, Chezza's journey is a powerful lesson in authenticity. In a world that often demands conformity, her success reminds us to embrace our unique selves. As we celebrate Chezza's triumph, let her story inspire us all to shine brightly in our authenticity. She truly continues to evolve and thrive! 

Continuing her journey: Wearing the producer's hat

But the journey doesn't end there! Chezza is now donning the producer's hat, taking charge of Leticia Stitche's renowned "Cinematic Sinners." However, keeping in line with the Phoenix tradition, she is finding. a way to give back to her Community. Chezza has rallied up the troops to create a raffle with proceeds going to Cancer Research!
